Kachette

Kachette is a popular event venue located on Old Street in East London’s street art district Shoreditch. The venue regularly host events for some of the worlds biggest brands including Google, Nike, Playstation, Instagram and Spotify. Kachette is also a unique event space for a birthday or corporate party, album launch, filming, casting, private drinks reception or small weddings. See our event videos page for highlights.

Kachette also host a programme of culturally diverse and inclusive events and exhibitions, offering a platform and visibility for artists, creatives and businesses from minority communities, BAME and LGBTQIA+.

The railway arch venue was once home to the original ticket hall of Shoreditch Railway Station which operated from 1865 to 1940. Shoreditch has been an entertainment quarter since the 16th century. The district is now a hotspot for bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, independent shops and pop-ups. Kachette is in close proximity to Old Street station and the popular East London tourist destinations Boxpark and Brick Lane.

Kachette consists of beautifully restored railway arch rooms with exposed Victorian era brickwork, open rigging, stunning black gated entrance and arched door and it's trademark train station clock which is situated inside the venue foyer. There is also a new daylight showroom with bright white walls. The venue has fully ducted air conditioning and an extremely fast internet connection offering speeds of up to 1Gbps.

A new third room is now open at Kachette! ‘Kachette Annex’ has lots of natural light, bright white walls and a further 100 standing capacity in an open plan room. Great for popups and additional break out space.

Kachette can now be hired for one, two or three room events. All rooms are connected. Virtual tour and floor plans will be updated soon!

Fixing to walls and columns

Tension wires are provided along the walls, rated at 100kg or 30kg per fixing. Clients are not permitted to drill into the walls, and we also discourage the use of production tapes as they are inclined to leave residue, damage paint or brickwork.
