Whether you are looking for a unique venue for a conference, corporate reception, birthday party or your dream warehouse wedding venue, Shoreditch London’s experienced venue hire and production team can help source anything you need for your event. We can create a bespoke venue hire package or you can book the venue ‘dry hire’ (blank canvas) and bring in your own catering and production suppliers.

Here are a couple of reasons clients choose to hire Shoreditch London’s event venues:

  • We offer discount venue hire rates to returning clients and on block bookings

Here’s what some of London’s venue finding experts have to say about the benefits of booking a dry hire venue.

There are a lot of confusing terms in the venue game: DDR, minimum spend, wet hire and dry hire. It seems pretty instinctive that you would want your venue to be dry, right? But it doesn’t actually refer to the state of the room - it’s all about the catering.

When a London venue is ‘Dry Hire’, it means you only hire out the room: no catering, no drinks, no furniture, just the space on its own. This is perfect for those looking to provide their own refreshments, outside catering, or for when catering isn’t necessary.
— Joe Harry, venue expert at Hirespace
On the hunt for a venue, but don’t need it to provide catering, staffing or extras? Why not go dry hire? By hiring a space as an empty shell, you’ll have the freedom to create your perfect event.
— Tag Venue
Increasingly people are hungry for unique venues like industrial warehouses. If you find an unusual venue that works for your brand then you’re in a good position to get peoples’s attention.

Choosing a unique venue for a popup or event offers an experience for your customers that goes above and beyond and also offers a unique PR opportunity.
— Appear [Here]
A venue that offers dry hire can be the overall cheapest route. This means paying a price to hire the space and then bringing in all your own suppliers.

In our experience, it is often cheaper to book a dry hire venue and find the right suppliers than opt for the ‘it’s all in the budget’ venue package option.
— Rebecca Kelly, co founder at VenueScanner
Although there are certainly many venues out there that can provide everything that an eventprof could need to cater for and invigorate guests, there are also times when a higher level of flexibility and control is required. For such occasions, event planners can look to ‘dry hire’ a venue, which if planned carefully will offer the freedom they need to create a very special event.

Dry hiring a venue will often be the best choice for many events and the trick to getting it right, as with many things in the world of event planning, is communication. Understand and communicate the goals and vision for your event from the beginning with all parties involved and your event will be a success without the stress!
— Jack Baugh, Event Managers Blog
London has some exciting and unusual dry hire venues that you can really put your stamp on! Every good event starts with a great venue as a backdrop so choosing a blank canvas venue gives you full creative control to make your event truly unique and bring your vision to life.
— Headbox
If you’re searching for a venue, but don’t need them to provide any of the usual venue services, catering, staffing, bar etc, have you thought about a “dry hire” venue?

Dry hire simply means you are hiring the space only, giving you the ability to create your perfect event. Dry hire venues in London are increasingly popular for events, parties and warehouse wedding venues.
