Having a great wedding photographer to capture your wedding day is probably the most important wedding supplier decision you can make. Yes, even more important than your wedding venue because once memories of your amazing wedding day start to fade, it’s your wedding photos that will take you back. This is why it’s worth spending the time to find a wedding photographer that has the skills and experience to deliver exceptional wedding photos.

Of all the photographers we have worked with in the past 16 years, Beatrici’s photos really stand out, capturing the love, energy and emotions of each couple in a natural and un-staged way. So we are very excited to chat with our favourite London wedding photographer Alline Beatrici.

How long have you worked as a wedding photographer?

5 amazing years!

What do you love most about photographing weddings?

Weddings are a rollercoaster of emotions where things can go from nervous anxiety to chaos, to pure joy within minutes. From a photographer’s point of view, this is paradise as I get to capture an explosion of human connection in interactions and expressions.

What is your favourite part of a wedding to shoot?

I love shooting into the evening when everyone let loose! I’m by no means the kind of photographer who stands quietly in the corner when a band/dj is playing so you can expect me right there on that dance floor making friends with your friends, taking photos while I make a fool of myself dancing too!

How would you describe your photographic style?

I offer
creative wedding photography - with a more modern, fun and personal approach when it comes to telling the story of people’s day. Spontaneity and fun are at the heart of everything I do + these are my main tools in creating a space for people to be comfortable in front of the camera and draw their authentic selves so they can see their personalities reflected in their wedding pictures too.

What do you like to find out about a couple before you scout for shooting locations?

I take a lot of inspiration from films so like to ask my couples what are their favourite films to get an idea of what visually moves them. We have a chat before the wedding so I can find out more about their personalities, their sense of humour, and try to match that energy in their images along with the cool streets of Shoreditch as our backdrop.

Shoreditch is a great location for taking photos, what do you love about the area?

Shoreditch Studios is conveniently placed in the middle of some of the best street art in Shoreditch, and as a wedding venue, it makes it ideal for couples who want some cool portraits of themselves on the day without stepping too far from their party and guests for too long. I love how the scene is always changing when I shoot here, and each time I come back
graffiti is sprayed over, pop up restaurants come and go, demolished and rebuilt as sky-scrapers change the background so every wedding/couple I shoot gets a very unique set of images which are exclusive from their day.

Do you work with a second shooter or videographer?

If the wedding has over 120 guests I always recommend adding a 2nd shooter so we have a better chance to get everyone on camera - if not, I always prefer shooting solo. I offer photography coverage only, but I have a ton of amazing videographers that I work with to recommend!

What are some FAQ’s you get from couples?

90% of my couples will tell me they’re very camera shy and ask me what I can do to make them look ‘good’ in their photos - we're all strangely terrified of cameras because it reveals everything we like + hate about our appearance, so we overthink how we're going to look when someone is shooting us, and we freeze! so, my approach is to create a space for couples to be comfortable and be themselves as capture their real dynamic just as they are when they’re together.

I'm also pretty skilled at putting people at ease in front of the camera so that happens naturally as we hang out taking photos, which is why everyone in my images looks like they’re genuinely having a good time, instead of awkward posing!

Referrals and positive client reviews are important in the wedding industry. What are some of your past clients saying about your services?

“Beatrici Photography was recommended to us by friends and after seeing her photos, we knew her style was exactly what we were after for our wedding. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and captured all of the intimate, funny and loving moments from our day and this resulted in a huge album of phenomenal photos. She is so talented and we were totally blown away! And an added bonus is that Alline is a wonderful human being who radiates joy! - Holly + Rob

“We found Beatrici Photography online with a minimal amount of searching. She just popped up and I liked what I saw so we booked her. We know a lot of photographers but I HATE having my photo taken so I wanted to work with somebody who wasn't a close friend and I could have a professional relationship with. Sadly she is too wonderful to not fall in love with her instantly and we have basically adopted her a full time friend. She captured us perfectly because she completely understood who we were and what we were about. I cannot recommend her highly enough" Thom + Esha

Here’s what some of our couples have said about working with Beatrici.

Nic & Jon

“Where do we even start with Alline? We were obsessed with her photographs from the minute we saw them.

She has this ability to capture the realness of a moment, you can feel that emotion and energy coming through in each photo.

She felt like another guest on the day – we would’ve been happy for her to have put down her camera, grab a drink and party with us until the end of the night.”

Mary & Will

“Alline. Is. A. Genius. We cannot recommend her enough and we looked at a lot of different photographers before we found her. She takes the time to get to know you, to understand the type of day you want and shares her incredible experience to make it even better.

Both our venues had beautiful, but tricky, light which Alline mastered to create some incredible photos. She captured the full extent of the laughter, love and party of the wedding. The final photos are even better than we ever hoped for.”

Anne & Chris

“We HEART Alline!! From our first internet call, we knew we didn’t want anyone else to capture the day. Alline totally bought in to what we were hoping to achieve and the results are just fantastic.

Every time I look at the photos I want to do the whole day again. Even when I started freaking out in the final days beforehand, just one email from her was enough to get me back on track.

She’s an incredibly creative, talented, fantabulous human.”

Once a couple gets in touch with you, what is the next step?

I send them to a
page where they can read everything from how I shoot, my approach to weddings and the packages I offer. Once they tell me a little bit about what matters most to them on their day and a bit about themselves we get chatting to secure their date!

What are your rates and what's included?

I offer photography coverage at £320 per hour, and my most popular package starts at £2.650 which includes 9h coverage. (2022)
